Strategic brand review, new visual identity and online presence for world-leading research park
Norwich Research Park is a business community of research organisations and technology-based businesses which has recently been boosted by £26million of Government investment for innovation and infrastructure to attract and support science and technology companies.
The Park was looking to reposition itself and create a presence that would be well-regarded on the international stage.
Following an initial consultation process, HMA recommended a strategic brand review bringing in all stakeholders to ensure buy in. As a result of this, the website was identified as the primary platform for the new identity.
The website needed to reflect the new vision for Norwich Research Park whilst taking into consideration the views and requirements of the partnership behind the organisation comprising University of East Anglia, Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital, John Innes Centre, Institute of Food Research, The Genome Analysis Centre and The Sainsbury Laboratory.
Obtaining buy in from all the stakeholders was key to this project and meeting with representatives from each of the institutions was identified as critical at the early stages of the project.
From this point forward we worked closely with the Norwich Research Park team and its partners to provide a solution that brought all the relevant information into one place.
Ensuring that information which was previously quite disparate was brought together onto the same site ensured that all Norwich Research Park’s property offering was available to view in one place – the benefits of locating your business on-site was then highlighted by the vast range of scientific services and facilities available throughout the partner institutions and other technology businesses on the park.
In the 6 months following the new website being posted live, the bounce rate reduced by 11% with engagement on the website increasing across the board.
In line with the strategy to develop the park and entice organisations to relocate to Norwich Research Park, two of the most popular pages on the site are the Masterplan and Business Accommodation pages.
