Cohn & Wolfe contacted us to produce a mode of action and treatment image illustrations for new Boehringer Ingelheim hepatitis C treatment.
Boehringer Ingelheim Hepatitis C Treatment Illustrations
HMA worked with global communications agency Cohn & Wolfe to create CGIs showcasing the science behind Boehringer Ingelheim's new hepatitis C treatment
The Brief
The challenge
Boehringer Ingelheim wanted some 3D imagrey to help explain their new treatment worked.BI 201335 binds to a shallow active site on an enzyme critical in HCV replication. The shallow nature of the enzyme active site makes it a challenge to design a molecule with the correct properties to effectively inhibit the enzyme. BI 201335 is optimised to target genotype-1 HCV, the most difficult type to effectively treat with current therapy.
The Approach
Working with Cohn & Wolfe and Boehringer Ingelheim we researched the the mode of action to help understand the science and then sketched out our approach to best represent this. Using our 3D software and rendering package along with graphical work in Photoshop, we were then able to translate these into the final high-res images.
